![]() ![]() The only times it felt like it wasn't an officially translated game were the sparse moments where characters use some coarse language that you wouldn't expect in a kids game but otherwise it's near perfect and it's really impressive that a team of what are basically volunteers managed to achieve with it. It has the true charm of a Digimon World game with lots of fun interactions with Digimon while you are building your city and it has a diverse world to explore.Īnd a note about the translation: It's really good. If you already liked Next Order I think you will love Re:Digitize. There are even some pretty big side stories going on and there are a lot of achievements/collectibles if you're into that.Īs for the cons besides the graphics, Re:Digitize does have smaller maps, less Digimon and of course you only have a single partner. There's a decent main storyline and a lot of things to do after you finish. Re:Digitize also has a lot of meat to it. The extra screen on the 3DS makes for a nice place to put those menus and the Digimon twitter-like feed on the bottom screen makes the game's world feel a lot more alive. The interface in Re:Digitize feels like it has been given a lot more thought. This is pretty noticeable in the menus and even things like the resource gathering points in the world. ![]() In Next Order the interface feels extremely lazy. ![]() Re:Digitize actually made me want to play Next Order again, which is what I am currently doing! Although the graphics in Next Order are obviously better, Re:Digitize feels like a more polished game to me. I was actually really impressed with the Re:Digitize, especially for it being a 10 year old game on the 3DS.
